The Move

I think everyone knows this already, but I'll just make it official to the blogosphere...we're moving. Yes folks, the Andrews Fam is hitting the road on March 1, and will reside in Virginia Beach. The move truly is bittersweet for me. I am excited for what God has in store for our family and especially for Jackson as he pursues a new career in construction and construction management. However, Charlottesville has been my home for over four years and I've made so many memories here. This where I began my married life, bought my first house, truly became part of a church family as an adult, and had my first baby. So, as happy as I am to go back to my first home, a big part of me is sad to leave this home. I will miss my friends, I will miss the beautiful mountains that I get to see, I'll miss the glorious Martha Jefferson hospital where Parks was born and I'll miss Portico. It would be hard to put into words the impact Portico and our church family has had on Jackson's and my life. We have been discipled, mentored and guided in our walk with the Lord there and have grown so much. I am so thankful that God put us there at that time in our life. It's going to be very hard to find a church that "measures up" to what we love about Portico.

So, please pray for us and our big transition. I might be a little MIA from the blogosphere while we pack, move and get settled.

Play Gym

Parks has been loving his play gym more and more. It's now one of my favorite things to do with him. When he's on his tummy, he works SO hard trying to move, it is adorable. He works really hard for about 10 minutes and then is wiped out. When he's on his back, he kicks his legs like nobody's business. He just kicks and kicks and bats at his toys that hang, sometimes he talks to them. He is such an active little one I swear he will be crawling by four months and walking by eight months. Jackson walked around 8-9 months so he might be following in his Daddy's footsteps.

I just LOVE this little man!

Update-11 weeks

I think I'm a little overdue in posting some pictures of my boy! He is getting SO big and is probably a hefty 14 pounds by now. He was 13 at his 2 month check up and in the 75th percentile for height and weight!

Can you believe he used to be this tiny?

ALSO, I had the priviledge of hosting a baby shower with my friend Megan, for our sweet friend Reta today. She is having a little girl in April and we had our community group girls over today and helped get Reta ready for little baby Evelynn. Here is a picture of our table and the diaper cake we made! It was our first one, and it was so fun to make. We had such a good time and are excited to meet this new little one :)

Okay, consider yourself partially updated! Happy Valentine's Day!

P.S. Jackson gave me a rose this morning and said it was from my two Valentines...him and Parks! There is just nothing sweeter than the love of my two boys!

Is this a joke?

I do apologize in advance if anyone has done this, but frankly, I can't think of anything more horrifying than a massive cast of a pregnant belly. I found this article on a legitimate website accompanied by the picture. Why why why???

"Belly Casting - A Lasting Keepsake of Your Pregnancy

Specialists for Women offers a unique way for expectant mothers to have a unique keepsake reminder of their pregnancy (beyond the 2:00am feedings).

A belly cast is a one-of-a-kind reminder - and to many, a work of art.

This simple, fun, and relaxing process ends with a plaster cast of your pregnant belly. It can then be decorated and showcased in your home - or even your baby's nursery. The possibilities are limitless."
